Media produced in these categories will be a 2 to 10 minute feature of content that is created specifically for a course at a participating school. These submissions should be created by a faculty member for delivery in their course, or created by students as part of their course requirements.
Category examples: Winners from this challenge could be instructional assets reflecting best practices in the use of audio or video media for k-20 instruction. Media could be produced by an instructor for purposes of teaching a specific, or hard-to-teach, course concept.
Alternatively, the media could be produced by students for the purpose of demonstrating specific learning outcomes for specific academic courses. Ideally, media assets teachers and students produce could be repurposed as instructional media for a k-20 web-based curriculum.
For example, any text-based deliverable such as a research paper could be a script for an NPR-like audio information program on academic topic that could then be used for instructional purposes.
